Turnstone Press is pleased to announce that Joanna Lilley's s new poetry collection, Three Pieces of Sea, will be released this spring.
Three Pieces of Sea is a portrait in verse of the artist Rebecca Lilley. Ekphrastic and elegiac, Three Pieces of Sea reflects a life lived and remembered through art. In a progression from life to loss, Lilley explores the relationship between visual art, grief and the process of healing.
Joanna Lilley is an award-winning poet living in Whitehorse. From the UK, Joanna has made her home in Yukon for the last 20 years. Her work has won the Fred Kerner Book Award and appeared in numerous literary journals, including The Malahat Review and Grain. Her sixth book and fourth poetry collection, Three Pieces of Sea is her most personal work to date.
