Meira Cook was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she worked as an arts journalist and university lecturer. Her prose and poems have appeared in Canadian Fiction Magazine, Dandelion, Prairie Fire, Border Crossings and Absinthe. She currently lives and writes in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
