Böðvar Guðmundsson is an Icelandic writer known for plays, poetry, novels, and children's books. Winner of the 1996 Icelandic Literary Award, Gudmundsson has done numerous translations of writers such as Roald Dahl and Heinrich Böll. He was a teacher and guest lecturer at the University of Bergen in the 1980s and has also lectured at Canadian universities on the immigration of Icelanders to Canada. He currently lives in Denmark and is still writing.
