FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MORDEN: Chadwick Ginther will be launching Tombstone Blues, Book Two of the Thunder Road Trilogy, in his hometown of Morden on Saturday, November 9th at 7:00 pm at the Pembina Hills Arts Centre, 352 Stephen St, Morden, MB.
Ginther says he is "very happy to be giving book two a hometown kickoff. I wrote the first fifty pages of Thunder Road in Morden, and I discovered the Norse Myths in the very building where I’ll be doing my reading. Hoping for a very special night."
Book One of the trilogy, Thunder Road, was released last year to great acclaim and was nominated for a Prix Aurora Award and won the Mary Scorer Book Award for Best Book by a Manitoba Publisher. The Thunder Road Trilogy is a fantasy in which the larger-than-life personalities and monsters of Norse mythology lurk hidden in Manitoba.
Originally from Morden, Manitoba, Chadwick Ginther was fascinated by Norse mythology at an early age. Today, he spins sagas of his own set in Canada's western wilderness where surely monsters must exist. Chadwick is a regular contributor to Quill & Quire, The Winnipeg Review, and Prairie Books NOW and has done guest blogs for Manitoba Scene. His short fiction has also appeared in On Spec Magazine. His first novel, Thunder Road, was nominated for a Prix Aurora Award and won the Mary Scorer Book Award for Best Book by a Manitoba Publisher. He lives in Winnipeg.
