Food for the Gods by Karen Dudley shortlisted for Bony Blithe Mystery Award

WINNIPEG: Turnstone Press imprint Ravenstone Books is thrilled to announce that Food for the Gods: An Epikurean Epic by Karen Dudley has been shortlisted for the 2013 Bloody Words Light Mystery Award, otherwise known as the Bony Blithe Award.

The Bony Blithe Award celebrates traditional, feel-good, humorous mysteries that "make us smile."

The other five finalists for the 2013 Bony Blithe Award are:

Janet Bolin, Threaded for Trouble (Berkley Prime Crime)
Elizabeth J. Duncan, A Small Hill to Die On (Minotaur)
Chris Laing, A Private Man (Seraphim)
Michelle Rowen, Blood Bath & Beyond (NAL Obsidian)
Morley Torgov, The Mastersinger from Minsk (Dundurn)

Karen Dudley has worked in field biology, production art, photo research, palaeo-environmental studies and archaeology. She has written four environmental mysteries and a several wildlife biology books for kids. Her most recent book, Food for the Gods, is an historical fantasy novel set in ancient Athens. Born in France, she now lives in Winnipeg.
