2013 MB Book Awards Shortlist Ravenstone

WINNIPEG-Turnstone Press and imprint Ravenstone Books congratulate our authors who are shortlisted for this year's Manitoba Book Awards. The Wittenbergs by Sarah Klassen was nominated in three categories, including the Carol Shields Winnipeg Book Award, Margaret Laurence Award for Fiction, and Mary Scorer Award for Best Book by a Manitoba Publisher. Books One and Two of the Thunder Road Trilogy by Chadwick Ginther were each nominated for an award: Tombstone Blues for the Carol Shields Winnipeg Book Award and Thunder Road for the Michael Van Rooy Award for Genre Fiction. Food for the Gods: An Epikurean Epic by Karen Dudley was also nominated for the Van Rooy Award. Manitoba Butterflies: A Field Guild by Simone Hébert Allard and Condemned to Repeat: A Randy Craig Mystery by Janice MacDonald were both also nominated for the Mary Scorer Award.

Turnstone Press and Ravenstone Books would like to congratulate all of the nominees for the deserved recognition of their work.

The awards will be presented at the Manitoba Book Awards gala on Sunday, April 27th at the West End Cultural Centre.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the ceremonies begin at 7:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
